Welcome to our Wrestling Club’s Coaches page! Here, you’ll get to know the dedicated and experienced individuals who guide our athletes both on and off the mat. Our coaching team brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and expertise to help our wrestlers develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their goals. From seasoned veterans to enthusiastic newcomers, each coach plays a vital role in shaping the future of our club. Nate Troutvine – Novice/Open/Pre-Season

Coach Nate has been apart of the Clubs coaching team since 2017. Nate is a Clarkston Alumni where he was a all-state wrestler. After high school he wrestled collegiately at Coker College. Back as a Clarkston resident he spends most free time supporting Clarkstons youth sports. You may also recgonize him from his time as Assistant Coach for Clarkston Chiefs JV White.  

Pricing & Levels

Cubs (1st and 2nd year wrestlers; grades Y5-2nd) – $150

  • Season will run Dec 2nd – March 7th
  • Practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Coached by Coach Matthew Stoian

Novice Level* (wrestlers with no to little experience looking to level up; grades 2nd-5th) – $200

  • Season will run Dec 2nd – March 22nd
  • Practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:00 p.m.
  • Coached by Coach Nate Troutvine

Middle School Pre-Season (wrestlers looking to get a leg up on their middle school season; grades 6th-8th) – $100

  • Season will run Dec 2nd – Early January when they will transition to their regular Middle School Season
  • Practices will be Monday and Wednesday 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Coached by Nate Troutvine

Open Level* (wrestlers with at least 2-year experience with a solid knowledge of basic moves, scoring, etc; grades; 2nd-5th) – $200

  • Season will run Dec 2nd – March 22nd
  • Practices will be Monday and Wednesday 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • Coached by Nate Troutvine

NEW THIS YEAR
Competitive Package (for wrestlers looking to compete in local tournaments against other clubs) – $100

Package includes:

  • Your choice of MyWay or MMWA Membership
    • Additional organization membership can be added on for additional cost
  • Singlet
    • Additional singlets can be purchased for an additional cost
  • 2 preselected tournaments registration fees
    • This will allow your wrestler to compete at Regionals & States as 2 tournaments are needed
  • Optional Friday night practices to prepare for the weekend tournament
  • Coaching coverage at events listed on the clubs schedule
    • Events not on the official schedule posted by the club will require you to provide your own coaching coverage. Please reach out to any board member to get set up with coaching credentials.

This package can be added on at ANY point of the season if your wrestler decides they want to go to the next level!

*Please be aware that your child may be switched levels (up or down) resulting in a change of practice nights if the coaches in the room see fit. Our goal is to provide the best oppertunity for all wresters.
