Regionals

Flyer

Click here to review the flyer for the Metro Regional competition at Anchor Bay High School on Sunday, March 10, 2024. You have the option of registering your wrestler directly (preferred as it eliminates us as the middle man) or having us do the registration. If you intend for us to register your wrestler, please complete the procedure on Monday before 5PM. Registration closes at 10PM on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Communication Memo

Please review the procedure thoroughly before sending payment or registering.

Venmo (@clarkstonwrestlingclub) or email the following information to help us coordinate coaching and the weigh in checklist. Because we are a non-profit we have to track income and expenses. These memos make all the difference when done correctly.

Reg – Camden Place – 2015 – 3rd – 59.1

$21.14 ($20 for open class plus $0.50 processing and 3.2% credit card fee).

If you have a credit, please adjust your payment accordingly.

Please note: There is no novice class offered at Regionals. All groups are open class.

Weigh in

Weigh ins for regionals take place at satellite sites throughout the metro region. We were fortunate enough to be chosen. They take place on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 6:00PM-7:30PM. These are mandatory and determine the weight class you will compete at regionals (and states if you qualify). It is a one-step weigh in so be sure you are where you need to be before weighing in. Also, make sure that your nails are cut. If you have any skin conditions that are non-communicable, please reach out to me to have your doctor fill out a form so that your wrestler is not precluded from competing.

Requirements

You must have competed in two individual MYWAY tournaments this season in ANY region in order to qualify for competing at regionals. Be aware that if you compete at regionals you will not be able to compete in the novice division at Future Starts and if you qualify for states you would not be able to compete in the non-qualifier division at Future Stars.

Qualifying for States

The top 4 for any bracket with 16 or less (or top 5 if larger than 16) qualify to attend states. You must communicate if you are attending states at the head table at the end of regionals and pay your state fee online before 8PM March 11. If any of the top 4 do not elect to go, wrestlers that placed 5th or 6th will be offered the opportunity. This will be communicated within 4-5 days after the deadline for registration for states.
